Scilab 5.5.0 demo

Scilab 5.5.0 binary crashes during the Matplot (Labyrinth) demo.

After Load and Decompose, Explore starts filling the image with blue, then Scilab crahses 
and the console displays:

# A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:
#
#  SIGSEGV (0xb) at pc=0xb6e04986Segmentation fault (core dumped)


I run Ubuntu 12.04 32b and my java is:
$ java -version
java version "1.6.0_30"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.13.1) (6b30-1.13.1-1ubuntu2~0.12.04.3)
OpenJDK Server VM (build 23.25-b01, mixed mode)
